Public Policy
Christine Nolan Essig is a social activist and leader who helps create social and political change through arts engagement. She is presently a volunteer for the Education Committee at Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts (WALA). She assists the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities which incorporates fundamental artistic and humanitarian initiatives into the objectives of the White House. Their most recent initiative, Turnaround Arts uses STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and arts education as a tool to strengthen school reform efforts across the country.
